Members of the IAS board of directors toured Saratoga Springs in late October 2005 and in February 2006 to visit facilities associated with the Saratoga Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. We found the host hotel to be attractive and undergoing renovation. Meeting facilities are ample, and the hotel is within easy walking access of shopping, restaurants and points of interest. The hotel has a full service restaurant and catering service, but many luncheons and dinners will be included in the registration fee for meeting participants. Hotel rooms at the Saratoga Hotel are spacious and can be reserved as single or double accommodations. Room rates will not be more than 150.00 US dollars in 2008. Other hotels are also located within walking distance, but we are encouraging all participants to stay at the host hotel, for convenience and to help IAS meet its room quota.
